8-month-old baby weighing 38 pounds baffles doctors

Skazyupdate
An 8-month-old baby girl born in India, Chahat Kumar, who weighs as much as a healthy 4-year-old at 38 pounds, has left doctors baffled over what could be causing her rabid appetite and weight. Doctors say the baby was born healthy and without any complications.
Her parents say she grew at a normal rate until she was around 4 months old. After that age, she began to cry if she wasn't fed all the time and won't stop until she's been fed.

Doctors have tried to obtain a blood sample from Chahat but have been unable to do so because her skin is abnormally thick.

The infant is reportedly having breathing and sleeping problems due to her extreme excess weight.

Reena, Chahat’s mother, told The Sun:
“We don’t have enough money for her treatment, but we do our best to make sure she gets well."
Dr. Sharma, her pediatrician, said he recommended the family take Chahat to a pediatric specialist at the Civil Hospital, but they have been unable to do so because they can't afford to do so.

Dr. Sharma said:
“Her weight is increasing excessively, and it has to be controlled. “She has to eat less. She eats like a 10-year-old kid.”
Her parents, who lost a son before she was born, said they will keep searching for answers in hopes of Chahat having a normal childhood.
Reena said:
“We don’t want her to have difficulties in the future.” “We want a good future for her.”

At least that’s according to the findings of a new survey from Charlie. We surveyed 533 single (defined as never married) women ages  18 to 40 in to find out how they think about finances when it comes to finding “the one.” According to the results, women are waiting until well into their relationships to have the “money talk.” If they don’t like what they hear, bad news: most women view potential beaus or belles with a large amount of debt as more of a liability, than an anchor. The majority of single women these days don’t believe that marriage is necessarily the ticket to financial stability. But to understand where we’re at now, it’s important to take a look at where we came from. A Brief History of Women’s Financial Rights Back in the “good old days,” our grandmothers had little choice but t...
