You were watching your favorite show last night and one of your favorite characters comes on screen with a new ‘do. It is super cute, and you immediately want something similar. So the next day you head to your local salon with a pic, get the haircut, and…you look terrible.
The shape of your face can drastically alter the way a style looks on you. Always play to your strengths and pick a style that is flattering.

Round Face

If your face is round, such as Mila Kunis, you want to go with layers and an asymmetrical cut. Different lengths will offset the general shape of your jaw and cheek lines. Unlike rounded cuts that will make your face look heavier.

Oval Face

Oval faces, like Emma Watson, look best when they are accentuated by a shorter cut. You can go either sleek or edgy, depending on your own preference. But pixie cuts are your best friend.

Square Face

Square faces have sharp angles in the jaw. Normally, you would think that means you should stay away from further angles. But in this case, those extreme cuts are actually a benefit, bringing out the straw jaw line rather than hiding it. Keira Knightley shows how it’s done with this angular bob.

The heart shaped face has soft sides that are longer than the round face, and a pointed chin. A number of hairstyles are appropriate for this type, but the best are simple cuts that are mostly one length. Too many layers can actually look choppy. To give it something extra, airy or straight bangs can be added.

When It Comes To Color

One part of hairstyle that some people don’t consider is the color. Your face shape doesn’t directly impact it, but choose the wrong color can take an otherwise good cut for your shape, and make it unappealing. This has more to do with skin tone, eye color, and the shade of the color itself.
A super easy way to decide if you are going to look good in a color is to try it with makeup first., Go to a drug store and pick up a cheap couple of pieces of makeup in the approximate shade, I would suggest lipstick and eyeshadow.
Next, put it on heavily enough to be seen, and go into some natural light. How does it look? If it doesn’t mesh well with your skin tone as makeup, don’t try to apply the color to your hair. If you do, it won’t matter than you chose a good cut.

Nigerian doctors suspend 55 days old strike

TVC NEWS [ABUJA]- The striking Nigerian Medical doctors under the aegis of the Nigerian Medical Association, on Sunday suspended their 55 day-old industrial action with immediate effect. President of the association, Dr. Kayode Obembe, who addressed journalists in Abuja, subsequently, directed members to resume at their various duty posts on Monday. The doctors began their industrial action on July 1, 2014 over a 24-point demands bothering on welfare, condition of service and poor facilities in government hospitals. But obembe said the decision to suspend the industrial action was taken after the Emergency Delegate Meeting of the association, held in Abuja on Saturday. He explained that the strike was suspended in the interest of urgent national emergencies while negotiations with the Federal Government continues.
